Hey everyone! I decided to put up a random update, just stuff off the top of my head. To start things off, I think my milk went bad. On Saturday morning I had a bowl of cereal, and I didn't feel right the rest of the weekend. Normally you can tell if milk is bad, because it stinks. The milk, along with everything else here, is a little sweet, so I think that the sweet smell may have covered up the horrible bad milk smell. In other words, I wasn't feeling too wonderful for the weekend. I spent most of Saturday in my apartment relaxing, and I started Sunday off the same way. At about noon, I realized that I needed to get out and get some fresh air, so I decided to take the train to Gyeongbokgung palace, which is pretty far away. I spent about an hour on the subway, and when I finally arrived I was a little disappointed with myself, because I did no research on the palace, and I had no idea what was what. It was all very beautiful, but I wasn't sure what was going on. I got back to my apartment, and I
still felt a little off, so I took a nap. Later that night, Devan, one of my fellow teachers, came knocking at my door to tell me about this cool coffee shop that he found. Even though I was rockin' a pretty ridiculous headache I went anyway. The coffee shop was awesome, and the people that go to coffee shops here are pretty rowdy, which makes it a bit more enjoyable, and after walking around for a while I felt much better.
Last Friday night the Korean teachers took us out to eat and for drinks, and it was a lot of fun. Everyone seems super nice right now. It was really cool to get to know them on a more personal level. I found out that if you offer to buy a drink, for example, to a local they will say no even if they do want the drink, so you just buy it anyway, and they get super happy.
I must be doing a pretty good job with my kids, because the parents have been giving me gifts, which are acceptable to take, sweet! I’ve gotten quite a few cookies and snacks, yum, and today a
parent gave me an awesome plant that is, apparently, rather expensive and rare. I’m not sure what it is, so I hope I can take care of it without any real knowledge of plants. I really wanted a plant in my apartment too, because right now it seems kind of sterile. Anyway, that’s all I’ve got for now. I hope everyone is doing great back home, and I miss all of you guys!

Your plant is a species of oriental orchid, or 'nancho'(pronounced naan - cho ) in Korean. It is rather more delicate than your usual potted plants so you should be careful about watering. Ask older Koreans and they might be able to give you some advice, since nancho growing is a popular hobby among them.
