if only my feet were big enough
Hi Yesterday was fathers day and we decided to celebrate it away from amsterdam.

We started by travelling to Marken a fishing village. When we got there the first thing we saw was the all these cottages along these narrow cobble streets. At the pier the first thing we did was buy some chips and sit down for lunch. After that, I spotted a souvenir store and Harry, Sam and I decided to buy some miniture clogs. Finally we decided to take a walk around the pier and see the boats.

Secondly we went to Edam, where they make Edam cheese (like babybel cheese). Unfortunately though we didn't buy any cheese. To get there we had to get off one bus then get one another one that took ages to get there. We were trying to find the cheese factory when we realised that we were going to miss the bus back.

Finally, we went to Volendam and it was a lot different to what we imagined. We had been that it was a calm fishing village, but when we got there there was this huge festival on and I wouldn't be exaggerating if I said there were

thousands of people. When we finally got past the festival we found that it continued to the place where all the boats were. The most amazing thing was that when we got back to Amsterdam every one was partying over there as well so it must of been some special day.
