Today was our third day in Amsterdam and we have had a great day!
In the morning we went to the Saturday market which was great. It was about 1km long and had the most delicios food. We bought bought some really nice poffertjes (a small Dutch pancake) and went to this church that was about 400 years old. One of the best things about the market was that it was that it was only about 20 metres from our door.
One of the things that I have noticed is that all the people are really layed back. They just ride around and sit at corner cafes. Also I've noticed that there is alot more drinking, and about everybody smokes.
Getting a bike is something we've been trying to do for the past two days . Finally today we got them so we have been able to ride which is good as it has been a bit annoying having to walk. Unfortunately though there is no bike small enough for Sam and the seat that can go on Dad's bike has'nt been fitted yet.
When you walk aroud you can't help noticing how good it looks. There
traffic light
here bikes have their own crossing are these canal bridges lined with bikes as well as all these old tall buildings. there are also these narrow cobble streets everywhere.
Finally in the afternoon we decided to go to the park again. This time we rode there and it seemed alot quicker. We had another kick of the footy and this time we had a man watching us in wonder as football isn't played here .
