Another hot and steamy day in Tam Ky. I was at the Baby Orphanage this morning. The kids have been different the last couple of weeks. A few of them were into the colouring that we brought over for them to work on and then it was just playing around the yard. Nothing too exciting. At one point Hannah took off for a bit to go buy some baby formula with some of the money her and Brit raised before coming to Viet Nam. Okay, I think I can hold down the fort. After a while the kids lost interest with the colouring and slowly left the room. Then I was just playing with about four of them. I sort of felt like a human jungle gym when they all wanted to be carried and the little monkey's wanted to climb me. Being such a hot day I got hot and tired pretty quick and then when I said no more to picking them up, one of them did a little whiny cry thing and then I imitated her. They all thought that was the funniest thing so I spent the next five minutes pretending to cry anytime one of them wanted to be picked up. It was hilarious! Then we didn't really have anything else planned I mean besides playtime and then feeding. Feeding was a bit late today and I didn't really have to feed anyone since Tra didn't want to eat and then was consequently put into "solitary". Then Phu basically fed herself!

I'm actually "skipping" Vietnamese language lesson #4 today. Oh what a rebel I am. haha As you may have picked up from previous lessons, I'm just not into it at the moment..

On another note we have our train tickets for Ha Noi booked..

Train tickets are bought
Getting ready to pack up
Good-bye time almost.

This afternoon we'll be going to the afternoon session at the Baby Orphanage and will be serving up a Fruit Party. Hope it goes over well. May turn into a sticky situation! LOL On Friday we'll have another party over at the Home of Affection and then on Saturday it is us cooking for the cooks. My social calendar is booking up real fast! LOL

Oh yes, and this evening Mrs. Hanh wants to take us out for coffee and I think Karaoke again. Guess they just can't get enough Karaoke!

Perhaps I'll head back home for a nap or finish off that scarf I'm "helping" to knit for Karen. 😊

More tomorrow.
Love,
Bonster

Baby orphanage
Hi Bonnie, I just stumbled across your entries here when trying to search for the baby orphanage outside of DaNang. I went there in Nov 2005 and would like to send donations, but cannot locate where to send them to. Do you have the address of the orphanage? Thanks, Robert rfordham24@hotmail.com
