Yaaaay Estelí! Went to the bank. Got my cash. Had them, finally, activate my debit card. I have to come BACK here in 8 days and pick it up. I was like, can´t you send it to me at my mail box in Somoto? And he was like, no, you have to pick it up here. Damn beauracracy. Not that I miiiiiind coming home to Estelí, but it gets expensive after a bit.

Not much more to say to the general public. But here are some photos I´m going to print to add to my collection...

Sunday 14 December 9am

Well, it's Sunday and time to get ready to head back to site. A fellow PCV is coming back to site with me and I am soooo excited to have a visitor and to debate the relative merits and demerits of my site with someone who speaks the English. Excited, also, to show my community that I am a different person when I can speak my own language with someone from my own country. Language barriers really put a damper on the the whole getting-to-know-people thing.

But! My Spanish is getting better! I mean, it has to. No one speaks English in my site. But they wiiiilllll since I'm starting English classes tomorrow. Actually, I am really intimidated. I've never taught classes from scratch. Tomorrow is the little kids ages 2-6... and their parents. Mostly just games with colors. But Tuesday, man oh man what am I getting myself into? Tuesday are kids ages 7-12. There are a shit ton of kids that age in my site. I have a feeling I'm gonna end up with 40 kids or more. Head shoulders knees and toes is on their agenda, colors as well. And 13 and up on Wednesday. Also intimidating. Conversations like hello, my name is, what's your name on the agenda for them. Colors and Christmas vocab for 7-12 and 13up, too.

Point is, starting to get nervous. But! I will have another PCV there to back me up.

And on that note, time to get moooooving.

wow. Well, yes, as I peek through some of your pictures taken over your last few years,...I see our ol' orb shrinking through your eyes!
