Buddhist Temple KL 1
Even here, ISO-Certification ... Well, I spent some time in the city, having coffee and just relax, reading my travel-guide. In the evening (15.10.) I moved to Calynn´s house - very nice place. Spent the next day in the surrounding of Calynn´s home and had a look at my Spanish-books ... well, I guess, I´m pretty quick in "forgetting" :-) (Sarah will kill me ... ;-) But, we´ll see ...
On the 17th Calynn, Min Shih (a very nice friend of her) and I went to an big Buddhist-temple in KL. Seemed to be some religious day, so meat was not allowed, but they offered free food at the temple - really good. In general I have to say, that this temple is not to be compared with an church. Because in our churches you are requested to be silent, do not eat/drink, ... This place seems more to be a place to come together and it´s of course not silent! I liked this very much. Also took a picture with my Chinese-year-animal (of course a Dragon - what else? :-) Did question the gods and got an interesting answer: "Resign to Fate" ... well ... no comment on that ...
Finally we
we met another friend of Calynn (Jack - also a very nice guy) and drove to Penang (Georgetown). This is an Island in the north of Malaysia which is connected to the continent via an 21km long bridge. It took us about 4 hours to go there by car. Met friends of them there, Wen Wen and Eng - also two very nice and friendly people. Had a very good seafood-dinner and then went to our hotel and afterwards had a look at the nightlife of Penang with Chinese live-music :-) That was fun!
The next day (18th) in the morning we went to join a Thai-Chi-class - really interesting (although I was not able to follow all tasks :-) After that - of course - we went eating. I always thought I´m eating pretty much, but within the next days I should learn, that there is always a possibility to improve! ;-) After that we went hiking on a hill. Was really nice, also because of the humidity I sweat a lot. Met some friends of Eng there and had a glas of wine at the top - really very nice and gorgeous! After that eating, refresh and

Questioning the gods ... of course nightlife!
Spent Sunday morning at the beach and the lobby, just relaxing. Then after eating watched the F1 GP. Bet with Jack on the winner and won (sorry Jack)! After that we returned to KL. All in all, a really very nice weekend, which I enjoyed very much! Thank you friends!
Some privat detail: Seem to have some problems with my stomach ... maybe too much crashed ice and fruits? Well, my stomach it seems is still used to european food ;-)
On Monday I went to the Batu-caves. This is the biggest Hindu-temple in Malaysia. Really impressive, the 272 steps to the entrance of the cave and the big statue in front. Spent the rest of the day at the KLCC-Tower (found a small and light trimmer (not bigger than a tooth-brush) for my beard - perfect for my travel, so now I will not look like an Methusalem anymore ;-) and the Central Station.
Went to Central Station again and called Dan - the guy I was talking to at the Starbucks. We had an misunderstanding, because he thought I will come to visit his home-town and stay one night there and
I just thought about meeting for a few hours to have a coffee. But we finally did solve this "problem" and had good conversation about Malaysia and live. Back at Calynn´s home we used my Tarrot-cards to do some reading for Calynn and Min Shih - results have been quite interesting! ;-) We also had a really good conversation about live and what is important in live. I really appreciated this! Met Jack to say good-bye, because I have to leave soon.
On my last day in Malaysia (22nd) I went with Calynn to her office and had a walk around in the area. Afterwards we met Min Shih and went to a really big shopping mall. It´s designed in the way of an Pyramide, with attached hotels and Water-park - really huge. You can get everything there ... After that they brought me to Central Station and I took the train to the Airport. Good bye, my dear friends! I had really a good time with you and enjoyed it very much! Thanks for all! Hopefully we´ll see again (of course in 2009 - Calynn, you know why ;-) and maybe you manage to come to Austria to
see the winter and the degrees below zero ;-)
The flight to Abu Dahbi was okay and on waiting for my connection-flight to Munich I met a guy from Amercia who is traveling to east-europe. Will give him some e-mail-addresses of friends, maybe it helps him.
