The main purpose of this webpage, is keeping "the bereaved" ;-) up to date about my South-America-trip.

Hochzeit 1
Ja, so schnell kanns gehen, man solls nicht glauben - am 03.01.2011 war es soweit - wir haben uns getraut! ;-) Im allerengsten Freundeskreis haben wir uns in St. Georgen im Attergau vermählt. Für alle, die leider nicht dabei sein konnten, hier zumindest ein paar Fotos. Natürlich werden wir das auch in Kolumbien mit der Familie noch dementsprechend feiern :-) Aufgrund des freudigen Anlasses kommt dieser Beitrag auch "schon jetzt", während die restlichen Reiseeinträge "etwas" später nachkommen ;-) Tan rapido las cosas pueden pasar - en el 3 de enero 2011 nos casamos! :-) Solo con los amigos mas cercanos nos casamos en St. Georgen im Attergau. Now it's already two years, that I'm on my journey - wow what a long time! Und schon wieder ist Weihnachten - ein Wahnsinn wie die Zeit vergeht! Beim letzten Weihnachten war ich gerade mal knappe 2 Monate in Suedamerika und 1 Jahr spaeter bin ich noch immer in Suedamerika unterwegs - wer haette das gedacht? Auf alle Faelle wuensche ich Euch frohe Weihnachten aus Peru! And again it´s Christmas - unbelievable how fast the time goes bye. Last Christmas (by the way, I didn´t hear the song with the same name over here - aetsch! :-) I´ve just been about 2 month in Southamerica and now one year later I´m still here ... and so I´m wishing you Merry Christmas from Peru! Unglaublich, aber wahr - schon ist ein Jahr vergangen, seid ich zu meiner Reise aufgebrochen bin ... daran wollte ich am Anfang gar nicht denken - so lange Zeit und doch so kurz ... Iguazu 1
Yes, yes, it´s unbelievable, but I already wrote the next entry! :-) This time will be short one, it´s “just” about Iguazu, my last station in Argentina, before I continued to Paraguay. I returned on Saturday the 13th of June to Iguazu, after a bus ride of 23 hours from Rio and stayed in the same hostel as before, where I shared the room with 3 Germans and an Austrian. Unfortunately I seem to have some problems with my photos, the camera just won’t display them anymore ... The next day I went to see the waterfalls, because the weather-forecast for the next days predicts very rainy weather and I was lucky to do so, because I had all the day fine weather and the next day it already started to rain. And again, it took me quite some time, to write this blog-entry, but finally, here it is! :-) When I went to the bus-terminal at the first of June 2009 in Iguazu, guess whom I met? The guys from England, with which I´ve been in the national park “Iberá” – what a nice surprise! And even more surprising, they are going to Rio too and I got the last seat in the bus, right next to John – so we have something to chat on the 22 hours to Rio! ;-) The border-crossing to Brazil was without any problems and we stopped in Brazil for eating, so I could stock up on local currency at the ATM (although the people I asked told me, that there is none, but I found one ;-). Way to Cachi 1
And once again, I have to write this entry "out of my mind", because of my "experience" in Lima ;-) But just until Posadas, from there on, I wrote into another book :-) So we left Calafate and went together to Cachi (Carola, Pablo and I). Already the journey to there, was really beautiful and we saw a very amazing countryside and stopped at some farm with an very old wooden-church, that was really impressing. Cachi itself is a nice little village and we went up a hill nearby, where there is the local cemetery and from where you have a very nice view of the village and surrounding. Way to Mendoza
Once again, this blog-entry is written "out of my mind", because I don´t have any written information, as I "lost" my diary in Lima ... Well, finally it was time to leave Chile again and return to Argentina, to explore the north of the country. My first station was Mendoza, but already the way from Valparaiso to Mendoza was an adventure. First: The landscape is stunning and impressing. Second: The bus broke down in the middle of nowhere. :-) But this was no problem, as I met two travellers from the US and they had a good bottle of red-wine and I the had an bottle-opener ;-) So the waiting-time was short and funny :-) When I finally arrived in Mendoza I had no idea where to sleep, but already when I left the bus, the ... read more
