Kiss him Tiff! He'll turn into a brilliant mime artist!
Is Mark Kagaya a brilliant genius or just plain insane?

After spending a few hours in the company of him this evening and winding up wearing a frog costume I have deep suspicions that he may in fact be both, and that the crazy might be catching.

At first glance there is nothing remotely remarkable about the place. You walk down some narrow wooden steps and into a room of.... nothing. White walls, a couple of tables and a few blue cushions to sit on.
Tiff and I looked at each other uneasily and said "Well, lets at least have a drink, while we wait for the others"

Thank god we did wait, because by the time Phoebe, Ines, Andreas and Borris arrived we were having the time of our life. We selected the 4000 yen set dinner; limitless food and alcohol that just kept coming and would be served by the host in a "style" of out choice. My favourite style was France which involved romantic music, a beret and an easel in tribute to the romantic Parisian streets just south of the Sacré Coeur.

The menu was told to us in a puppet show and the drinks were poured in a manner that could only be described as overtly sexy. The food was delicious and the entertainment a combination of ridiculous, hilarious and completely 100% mental. We ended up being the only group left in the restaurant, and that combined with countless boxes of sakes is probably the reason Ines and I ended up dressed as frogs with Andreas decked out from head to toe as a bear prancing alongside beside us.

We stayed until close and then fell out on the street making plans for the next day and trying to get ur heads around what we'd just seen. I made the trek back to Saitama, and in my quiet flat devoid of Sanae, currently holidaying with her fiance in Saipan I started washing my face with toothpaste.

I'm telling myself now that it was definately an accident because the toothpaste and facewash are both in similar bottles, but deep down I know the truth is that this is the start of my decline. If it really is true that that crazy is catching, after an evening with Mark Kagaya I have to say I'll be relieved if the only crazy side effect will be a minty fresh face.
