Great photos I have just been reading your blog and it's great! I've lived in Japan for about 5 years but it's fun to see what it's like through someone else's eyes- I realise I had such a boring time my first year in Japan compared to you! I commented here even though it's from last summer because I thought your Fuji photos were beautiful- isn't the sunrise one upside down though? Still, it looks pretty cool. I'm surprised you didn't like the gravel on the way down- both times I climbed Fuji I thought it was great fun coming down- we ran most of the way, you can take these huge steps because you slide.
Thanks for the list of quirky restaurants/bars a couple of posts back- I need to see more of that kind of thing!
GREAT BolBol san!
It was really the best night there! Thank you so much for your kind hospitality and big smile! And I will come again with Leah when she visits Tokyo, but in the meantime, I will take other friends to enjoy sword kebobs:-)
Anytime! BolBol, I had the best night - it was a great great time, thank you so much for your hospitality! Next time in japan, I'll come back to visit you for sure!!
XD
Thank You! I read your blog entry about my restaurant, and I was very happy to hear that you had a great time! Of course, please come again with Sanae-san or any other friends...I hope that you can enjoy another good night with everyone at BolBol in Koenji.
Thank you,
BolBol
Blue man group is definately OK for kids, they should love it, there's a lot of music and throwing paint around, probably best to get the seats a few rows back from the front though so they don't have to wear the plastic coat!
have a great time in Tokyo!!
Leah
OK for kids Thanks for the review. I'm planning to take my son to the Blue Man Group in Tokyo in December. Is the show suitable for kids? (I assumed it is, but I was told to check)
what a great list!
and i have to agree umba rella ella ella eh eh eh was a glorious moment!! we were all on fire! we mustve looked like gods to all those japanese kids...knowing every word and all...absolute rockstars baby x
Un-Tasty MEATS sounds like me trying kangaroo. i bought kangaroo mince from coles as it was cheap and i was curious. i cooked it, almost spewing from the aromas, and after a brave teaspoon full i promptly binned it. Never, never again. LOL
My top 10 Living with Leah memories 1. finding nice little all furnished flat which close to the station
2. downloading county songs
3. CSI Maiami and CSI night
4. realization of dehydration
5. going to the sexy hairdresser and happily giggle
6. delicious Leah's cook
7. emailing each other 30 times a day
8. going to Grandma's place and eat eat eat...
9. having girls talk anytime we want
10. every time when I cry, get angry, am upset, happy, sad, freaking out, you were always there for me. That's the best thing about living with one of my best friend. Can we do this again? maybe when we become 70, we can move to thailand or somewhere beautiful place? but... honestly? don't gooooooo!!!
I haven't laughed so hard in a long time Well you have no idea who I am so I hope you don't think I'm strange for posting this, but I'm going to anyway. I'm planning to move to Japan so I've been doing research reading blogs of people who've been there for extended stays to see what it's really like (ups, downs and all that). I read about your "date" with the Japanese man and was actually laughing out loud. While I'm absolutely embarrassed for you that you were in such an awkward situation it made for a really entertaining read. The poor guy, you can't help but feel sorry for him, but I'm incredibly impressed by your ability to dodge the kiss with such pizzaz! Thanks for the read (and the laugh!)
Goto's event was great. i should take his lesson! Thank you for bringing me.
Dance is wonderful but you're the only person that makes me laugh and have confidence in front of kgo....
youre right we are much more beautiful than the girls you know who i am telling about...
i already miss you~
Blue man Blue man was totally a gentleman to Yumi chan.
He silently and gently kissed her hand like every British gentlemen did like 100 years ago. hmm so cool!
Great tour! Hi I am a tour guide, and would like to ask you to introduce these incredible tour planners!!
Night safari is the best idea! well you must have been so disappointed by Ueno zoo... yeah I feel a bit sorry for the animals in Ueno zoo.
Oh and I think the great part of this tour is that you can get something with real figure and keep other than memory. ( i mean pottery) Of course memory is a greatest thing but still things are good to remind you of good time
oh let me know if these beautiful tour guides get new plan!!
crazy = COOL i will never forget that night... one of the strangest.... but possibly most amusing things i have ever seen. lol. im a kagaya fan for life. thanks for the brilliant choice lady xx

Go Tablo! Oh Leah,
You saw Tablo, wow!
Don't tell me that you didn't get his autograph.
I read this story out to Patra and she's reading right now of your others too. And then we had a short reserch of Tablo because Patra dosen't know about him.
We were laughing like a crazy people. I even cried when I read last bit. You know what you should seriousely think about to becomce a writer. It's all about fun and smart. I feel like to read all of your stories.
I miss you Leah and I can't wait to see you in Sydney.
Take care.
An young.
