... and i am really looking forward to heading back home for a while so i can see all my family and friends!

i am going to make a list of all the food i want to scoff while i´m back as camp food hasn´t exactly been a great dining pleasure - fried stuff with cheese and watery soup, mmmmmm! on the plus side, i have lost a lot of weight and trousers which i actually split before i left home because my legs were too chunky are now like hipsters on me! so if anyone is trying to lose weight i recommend the camp diet - eat very small portions and drink nothing but water!

obviously i am going to be sad to leave as well... i´ve been really fortunate that all the teachers i´ve worked with over the last 2 months have been a real laugh ... and the majority of the kids have been great, yet misunderstood teenagers! moody sometimes but sweet and funny for the rest of the time!

this group of kids is definitely the worst though, which is a shame... 2 girls were expelled yesterday as they got into the boys dorm at night. the level of stupidity is demonstrated in HOW they actually got in there... rather than walk along the corridor and open the door, they climbed out of their bedroom window, walked along the roof and then knocked on the boys window and let themselves in! they weren´t even quiet about it which is how we discovered it cause all of the teachers heard giggling and doors slamming and people running up and down the halls! what stupidity!

my big success story this time is from a group of rather geeky but very sweet girls who looked at me like i was a nutter when i was dancing at the first disco and looked like they wanted to be sick when i tried to get them to dance. they were absolutely petrified and sat at the back for the entire evening just watching everyone. at the last disco, i slowly got them dancing at the back of the room, then gradually into the middle... by the end of the disco, they were dragging ME up to dance and told me afterwards that they´d really enjoyed themselves... awww bless!

so, one week to go and then the kids leave on saturday. before then, we´ll have a few more trips to the beach, forest and park and ... a fright night! the last one was hilarious. some of the teachers wrote a horror story about what this education centre used to be years ago and how a group of kids had mysteriously disappeared around this area. the director, laura, had to read it out and it was so funny to watch her face as she read out some of the crazier parts... like when a woman appeared and she had no face! hahaha... she was so obviously biting her lip to stop herself from laughing but all of us were sat at the back of the room listening to the story with tears falling down our faces! we then went off and hid in the bushes wearing really scary masks... unfortunately i was wearing a pink hoodie which wasn´t the scariest of costumes that i could have found! we planned to jump out as the kids were walking past, but i couldn´t see where i was going in the mask and practically tiptoed out then stumbled and nearly fell flat on my face... again, probably not so scary! the kids were like ´hey heidi! how are ya?!´

after the kids leave on saturday, all of the teachers are going to head to the park for a BBQ and then we´ll watch the rugby and go out... for my birthday! last year´s birthday was in japan, this year´s will be in spain... where will next year´s be i wonder?!
i´ll head back to madrid the next day and fly home and then after that?!?! ... watch this space! adventure number 3 is just around the corner!

Hi The photos are still black, your lucky I have to live with a teenager, they are hard work. I am glad I don't work with them. I think you should go to kenya or some where like that. Maybe you could start up your own school in a poor country! You must be back home now and ready for your next adventure. I am back to uni soon, work is fine just getting back into the swing of things. The new nursery/reception building is lovely I have asked if we can have their toilets up the top end. Mrs Hicks is still golly goshing every where! Tracey has scared a child already, bless her and we just keep gaining more and more kids. Dylan sat up on saturday for the first time, he is 5 months now. His so big and cheeky and has me wrapped round his little finger. Oh well I must go to bed. Speak soon take care love helen. xxx
