Legoland
Albert Einstein made of Lego Our time in Germany had a strong family focus.
Silke, Michael and their boys Uwe, Heiko and Sven live near Stuttgart in Bietingheim. Our time with them was very family orientated , with lots of traditional German family meals.
Our children went to school with theirs, a unique and memorable experience. Jack was asked about the dangerous animals in his neighbourhood. Apart from that, the kids didn’t say much about what happened, but we could tell that they had a good time.
Next we travelled to Wiggensbach, in Bavaria, and stayed with Kirsten, Peter and their daughter Jennifer; who we met in Tasch (Switzerland).
We all spent a fantastic day at Deutschland Legoland. The kids had been looking forward to Legoland for 113 days and it did not disappoint. It was a great mix of thrill rides, lego exhibits and fun for all.
The next day we all went to Grasgehren mountain. It was a glorious day. It involved a long chairlift up the mountain, a picnic and a 3000 meter alpine (roller) coaster down the mountain. Unfortunately Albert injured his arm on the monkey bars at the playground.. The alpine coaster

Preparing to go in experience (the longest in Europe) was dampened by Albert’s injury, but the ride down was exhilarating. At the bottom of the mountain we all met up again, and ‘off to hospital ’. Kirsten was a great help as interpreter, and Albert a real trooper.
Diagnosis- Broken arm and in plaster for 5 weeks
Our German family stays were fantastic (except for the occasional broken bone ), and gave a good insight into German lifestyle.

hi guys, great photos. Sorry about the broken bones. Hope it mends well. Wondering where you will be when the cast comes off. Did u just happen to have a bandage in your back pocket just in case?
