Hi all! Haven't done much this week, had a lot of fun with the kids but just came home and crashed after work. We have this little boy - George - that throws up every morning because he doesn't want to leave his parents, its soooo gross, he can do it on command now, but once we get inside he is so happy and has so much fun, he loves to help clean and always asks to help clean the tables after lunch/snack. Their lunches are so cute, real food in cute little bento boxes. We usually have the kids sweep the floor and wipe the tables to learn to do things on their own. We aren't aloud to help them much when it comes to sunscreen/changing, so everything takes 10x longer than it should, its cute sometimes when they're coverd with globs of sunscreen! We go swimming everyday - the pool is under a retractable building, so if its sunny we're outside , if its rainy we're inside. Weren't able to swim Mon. or today because someone pooped in the pool (not a camper tho) and they had to shock it. Today we played w/ trikes outside and played Red
Fish, Green Fish (Red light, green light - name changed to theme it to beach week!) The kids are cute, they sang me japanese songs yesterday and I've learned some cute american ones too. They love to sing! We have a little girl named Lara and she would never respond to us so we looked at her lunch box and it said Lala on it, but other things said Lara so we started calling her LALA and she answered, but I guess her name really is Lara they just cant say the R, so we call her Lara now to get her used to the american version. Keichii doesn't speak any english, but is very good at understanding it. If I say no and shake my head and hand he repeats the movement. One little girl, Sophie, was walking by as I was asking these two kids what they were saying in Japanese because I felt left out and Sophie translated for me😊 cute that a 3 year old can do that. Today we put shaving cream on the tables (it cleans the tables and gets all the crayon marks off) and got all messy! They loved it! We had
it everywhere, but an easy clean up. Kojiro is the chef's son who is the chef for our hotel. Taiyo is this little japanese boy that is just so cute and speaks such good english, they're so cute when they sing songs because of their accent. Sophia is American and goes to the preschool on the compound, its cute because shes' one that sang me a japanese song, and when she did all the kids laughed - I don't know if she was saying it wrong or if the song was funny. Tyler is only there for the afternoon (we have a lot that are just there for the am, some for all day and a few just pm) and he is so cute, one day I had to take him out of dads' hand because he was crying so hard but when mom takes him he's just fine! We were playing w/ chalk and he got it all over him and the playground! May is japanese but speaks very well english (her and Lara have become best friends) and yesterday dropped her lunch on the bathroom floor, why she had it in the bathroom who knows. But I made
her a jelly sandwich and she almost started crying. She said "mom won't let me eat bread because she wants me to be itsy". But I cut the bread in slices after telling her this is all she had for lunch and she ate it. I wasn't sure if maybe I misheard her and said that the bread had to be itsy but today mom told us to not put a bun on her hotdog. We had a BBQ today and we all ate hotdogs! The day campers are up at the BBQ and they bring it down to us, yumm! A little boy in the other class Kai, said that he was so excited for hotdogs he was going to eat 100!. Went to the day camp building today for a blitz (songs ) and the little kids just sat there in shock watching while the older kids had so much fun singing and dancing.. Most of the younger kids had their hand over their ears😊 They said it was too loud. Tyler is in the other class and he cant pronounce his L's and so when you ask his name he says "My name is Tiger".😊 Go to
the playground everyday, the kids are very good at remembering the rules. Out of no where in the middle of the day they'll say 'No big slide'. No tree house. etc. its cute that they remember. Its fun, but VERY STRESSFUL. They dont listen the best, and we have a lot of accidents w/ bathroom - but they have to clean themselves up. We had a little boy in the bathroom for 1/2 hour wanting me to wipe his bottom and I can't, plus he's old enough to do it. Its hard to not do everything for them, but it does help them. Its bug week next week, we hung a "spider web" on the ceiling and bugs all around. Its funny beacuse they don't even notice the new posters, etc. We painted a mural on the wall that we're going to let them put hand prints on and turn them into flowers and the kids dont even notice it. I called the radio show last night (11:20 here ) and talked for a few minutes, that was fun. I like being able to keep in touch. Have had a sore throat all week, finally geting better - its been
A straight line!
The lines in the roads are a god send - we say stay on the white line and they do!!! No cars are on the road. so hard to sing songs I crack a lot. I got some cough drops and have been drinking lots of tea w/ honey. Had a good week, took lots of pictures!

Someone just got mail today and it only took a week to get here, so maybe unless its a big package it will get here fast. You dont have to send anything to me internationally - since I have an APO address and all of my mail goes to a U.S. military base. Its just like you were sending things within the U.S. I can send things out for 42 cents, etc. we have a U.S. postal mail box (the blue ones that are on the streets at home) at our hotel and on the compound, so it makes things really nice for me to send things, and for people to send things to me - a lot cheaper!

hello
Hi Jess!! Love reading the updates and seeing the pictures. 2 questions....why can't you help the kids do things like put on sunscreen? They seem pretty little to be so self sufficient! and, are there any restrictions of what you can and can't receive in the mail? you can email me if you want. love you!!
