Crazy week so far. Tuesday we had 9 bathroom accidents... yes 9! Then Tuesday night Haley and I went to Hardy Barracks an Army base near work. Only thing there was a little store that is run by the same guy that owns the one at our hotel. He saw us there and offered us a ride back to the hotel ... nice because we really didn't want to walk! Had a busy week last week! Went to Shinjuku, a Japanese Festival at a Shrine, Akiabahra, the Imperial Palace, and a Baseball Game. It was fun! On Tuesday Cassie, Amy T. and I went to Shinjuku to see if we could get tickets for Kyoto for this weekend but they were all sold out except for the shin tickets (bullet train) and we want to take a bus there and a shin back to save money, so we couldn't go this weekend - we're going to go back next week and try to get tickets for the weekend before we leave. Had a lazy night Friday, then went to Kamakura on Saturday. Were only there for a few hours (and it took 2 hours each way to get there) but it was well worth it. We saw the giant buddha and I got to go inside to see how it was made. Man was it like a sauna! Had a good weekend and week. Thursday the 3rd, we went to Jusco which is like a walmart or target but like a mall too, because its one store but you pay for things at each section. it was 4 stories and had everything from food to electronics. I didn't buy anything just looked around. Went to Nikko this weekend with Haley, Chelsea, Amy, and Chris (almost everyone else went too but left later); left at 6:45 am on Sat. morning and took the subway to Asakusa (had to switch 1x to get there) - took 45 min. Then bought a World Heritage Pass for $36 which included the train to Nikko and back and buses and entrance to all shrines. Took the train to Nikko which took 2 hours. Hi all! Had a busy week. Work was good all week. Starting Tuesday George was almost jumping out of the car he was so excited to come to camp! Sad that it was a few kids' last day today - I'll miss them. Took some cute videos and pictures. Went to Tokyo Tower (like the eiffel tower but taller) on Tuesday. Went out in Roppongi on Friday and met up with Haley's sister (she is doing camp in yakota, japan). Had 3 extra people in our room but it was no big deal. Slept in and were lazy until about 1 on Sat, then Haley and I went to Yokohama which is about 1 hr away. Haley and I got lost and walked up and down the same street for about an hour looking for Chinatown when really it was just 5 mins in the other direction. Hi all! Haven't done much this week, had a lot of fun with the kids but just came home and crashed after work. We have this little boy - George - that throws up every morning because he doesn't want to leave his parents, its soooo gross, he can do it on command now, but once we get inside he is so happy and has so much fun, he loves to help clean and always asks to help clean the tables after lunch/snack. Went out Saturday night and on the way to the subway the 3 of us found 22000 yen and a sucia card ($220 and a $7 card to get on the subway)! Met some girls at the club - thought that they were our age but ended up being 35-40!!! THEY LOOK SO YOUNG HERE! Got home at about 2-2:30, took a taxi (we were able to with the money we found!) and it actually was only $8 for all 3 of us (Haley, Chelsea and I). Didn't do much Thursday night, was so tired from being up early for the Fish Market. Had a short day at work yesterday - finished our room, did a little run through and left by noon. We went out to eat on our way home to my first japanese meal - they were fast. They didnt speak english and the menus were in japanese so we pointed at pictures. What I got was really good.
