Having South Indian food for lunch with my boss and coworkers, good time!
I couldn't shower this morning.
I was awake for a long time last night after my friend walked me down the dark allyway to my door. As I was fumbling around trying to get some light on my door lock, when he asked me if I was scared to live there. I assured him that that I felt safe in the home, as there is a family downstairs and I double check the lock on my door at nght. He sort of shook his head and waited until I had made it upstairs to walk away from the home. His concern haunted me for a while and I opted to sleep with the light on. I heard some noises that worried me and I felt the need to double check the terrace door a couple of times in the night. I know it's silly, I'm fine there, but his lack of comfort made for a restless night and late morning getting out of bed.
I woke up too late to shower and had a quick breakfast downstairs with Prashant and his sister. They recommended a good Bollywood film for me to rent about a group of college kids who discover the

real India too late.
Our boss is still away on business in Bomaby, so my coworkers and I had the opportunity to go out and have a long lunch as a group. They took me to a stand to try some South Indian food. Then we had Punjabi food at a well established restaurant. It was very crowded and we had to wait a few minutes to get seated. When our waiter set the glasses down, one of my coworkers sent them back whispering to me that the glasses here are unclean but the food is to die for. It was pretty good. I enjoyed the chicken curry and had my first taste of goat meat. I didn't like it. I think I"ll go and have a walk around CP at lunchtime. I'm still recovering from my own DelhiBelly and wish this stomachache would go away. I'm adamently taking the prescriptions my Indian doctor in the states gave me, but they aren't working fast enough!
Anyway, back to work. I suppose my boss will return later today looking for my report on Indian retail.

South Indian food
South Indian food is amazing - the snacks are especially great- really light but very filling! Glad to know you are having fun, especially with the music. I cracked up when I read your description of your meeting :)
