Koh Chang
under heavy rain we left the island We left Koh Chang under heavy rain bye ferry to Trat. Afterwards we took a minibus to the Cambodia border ( one and half hour). We have got our Cambodia visas at the border paying almost the double price (about 40 USD each) as written in internet. From the border to Koh Kong we shared a taxi by a Swiss man. There was no bus no ferry to Sihanoukville in the afternoon. Therefore we had to spend the night at Koh Kong. We found a nice guest house ( Kolab Chaey Den ) just on the opposite street of pier three minutes walk paying about 10 USD . We had dinner at Otto’s restaurant, on the next street which acts as a meeting place for the tourists and serves delicious food. In this border town we paid everything in Thai Baht which is a very strong Money in the region. In Cambodia nobody asks for Cambodian Riel . Everything is spelled as USD. We have met a German-French mixture family ( Monica- Looky) at Otto’ s restaurant who spends half the year in France- Germany and other half of the year in Tailand and travel around SEA every year. They gave
Koh Chang
North of the island us guıdebooks for Sihanoukville, Phnom Phen and Siam Reap.
The next morning on 4th Feb. We took the five hour boat trip to Sihanoukville. We shared a tuk tuk (5 USD totally) with our friends to the Ochheuteal Beach. Due to the Chinese New Year celebrations 6th-9th Feb. most of the guest houses were full and those who have available rooms asked double price. Anyhow we have found a good guest house ( Sbov Meas Guest House) near the Ochheuteal Beach (17USD/night with A/C,TV and hot water) . After placing our luggages in the guesthouse we took a motor bike to Vietnam Consulate. In ten minutes we got our visas. The following days we rent daily bike to wander around. We visited almost all the beaches. They were beautiful especially the sand very tiny and white.
The Children are vivid and smiling faces, but very poor. On the beach they even ask to eat part of your meal. As in Thailand many western men are with young Cambodian girls. In order to prevent sexual exploition of the children Goverment spending Money for advertisement.
After few days we traveled to Phnom Penh by bus. We will pass to Siam Reap for
