Where is it?
Everyone was looking to find something.It was one of those days when you arrive for a game of basketball; 3 on 3 feeling excited but worried because it was going to be my very second time playing 3 on 3 basketball. The first was just 2 weeks ago. What would happen? When I saw my two partners, I thought, hey I got myself two tall guys and one very agile lady. Surely we will not be hammered by the other teams. The game started soon and first game was against a favourite team; my wife's team. In her team were three very fast and accurate players. Somehow, something did not go right on the first match for them and my team won 13-10. Talk about upsets..... This loss was the one which made them losing out on a place in semi-final.
The referee reminded time and again, please do not be rough. This is just basketball, do not kill each other. Injuries did happen though but Vitroxians were very gentle, so the people who got injured must have fallen by themselves! Haha..... I got myself some bruises. My chief suspect may be my wife's boss who looked like a gentle lamb but when time's right,
Getting ready
Relax a little. Get ready. she can be dangerous. Only during basketball game though. Haha....
I fell and got a few cuts but three to four part-time nurses tended to me attentively and if I might add, professionally. I think if Vitrox ever needs to set up an ERT, these are the best people.
After a few more games, suddenly, a darkhorse called B1 was in semi-final. As the 2nd ranked team, we were up against the champion team from Group A. I can tell you this, it was HARD. nevertheless, again, something happened. Somehow, B1 hit our opponent 6 times of which we got five 3 pointers + one 2 point. Our opponent scored 6 times too but they got only 13 points. So, despite scoring the same number of times, we edged them to go into final.
Next was the shouting for the A1 team to upset B3. Why you may ask. Well, during the group stage, B3 defeated us with a 15-0 score. A1 team tried their very best but as they say, sometimes, your best is just ain't enough. Again, we meet B3. Talk about rematch of the worst kind. After 4 minutes, we were still ZERO and

Argh..... do not give me. the opponent has raced to a healthy 12-0 lead. Then, the daughter of my partner, Choo shouted, 'Pa Pa, you are still zero! Uncle, do not win Papa. You must let papa win'. I think that was the reason why suddenly my team-mate Choo scored 4 points for us to end at 16-4. Haha.... His daughter should have shouted earlier! 😊

After that was prize giving ceremony where I got myself a nice and memorable medal for being 1st runner up. Would I join again next year? Hmm..... We shall see.

Wow! Congratulations of being the first runner up! What a lovely basket ball match! Believe your wife and you do enjoy it a lot. Hope you will get fair soon, hahaha.........now you look like someone who come from Africa :p
