Having fun while dad worksHaving fun while dad worksHaving fun while dad works

Dad had to be on a conference so we had fun our own way.
A while ago dad had the opportunity to go to Tallinn in Estonia with his job. He brought us with him because he thought we would enjoy it. Dad was on a conference much of the time so we had to have fun on our own. But that is not a problem. We know how to enjoy ourselves. Mum and dad can be so boring sometimes so we often have to take matter in our own hands to ensure we have fun at least.

First dad was on a conference at his job. Then we spent the time playing with dad's computer. After that we left dad's job. First we got a bit worried when we were not going towards airport like we usually do when we travel to foreign countries. But then dad explained that we were going by boat there. Well we have been on a boat before when we were in China so we knew what to expect. At least that is what we thought. What we weren't prepared for was the size of the boat. The boat in China was big, it was very big. It was so big we didn't think boats could be any

bigger. But we were wrong. The boat in China looks like a dinghy next to the boat that was going to take us to Tallinn. The Chinese boat had one restaurant and one little tea room on board. We thought that was impressive. The Tallinn boat has at least three restaurants, one snack bar and a night club. We are going to love that boat! Dad tells us that there are even bigger boats in the World. There is one that is so big that it has a miniature golf course, a swimming pool and an ice skating rink on board. We want to travel with that boat. No, we want to have one of those boats. We are going to ask mum and dad if they can give us one for our next birthday...

On the boat dad was busy with yet another conference. We feel a bit sorry for dad. Being stuck in a conference when he is on a huge floating party! Well, as we said, we can take care of ourselves. We partied all the way over to Tallinn!

When we arrived in Tallinn we had a couple of hours to kill there. First

We got a bit embarressed by this one. We could see his penis...
dad took us to a harbour where the Olympics were held in 1980. After we came home we started to study what the Olympics actually is. We learned that the next Olympics are going to be held in Beijing already next year. We like Beijing a lot and we are looking for every chance to go there again. So we have not decided to participate. We think that if we start practicing now we should be fit to kick some butt in the Chinese capital in 2008.

The only problem is, which sport should we attend? Swimming is out of the question. We don't like water. But then we don't like the American swimmer Michael Phelps either and it would feel really good to beat him. We are going to ask our friend Fredrik if he feel like joining the Olympics too. He is a much better swimmer than us.

No, we think we are going to go for either weight lifting, shot put or marathon. It is a tough decision but we think we are going for the marathon.

After the visit in the old Olympic arena we went to central Tallinn and the old town. There

This is the symbol of the Moscow Olympics in 1980. Strange that we found that here? We are in Tallinn in Estonia, not in Russia...
we roamed around a few hours looking at old ruins, old watchtowers and old houses. Hey, dad fits in really good there because he is also really old.

But then, alas, in the afternoon we had to go back to the boat again and go back to Sweden. But Tallinn was fun. We hope mum and dad will bring us to the Baltics again soon. Well, we can always nag until they give in. We can usually get what we want...

Nice ruin we found, huh? But the Estonians must be a bit stupid. They have forgotten to put a roof on the ruin.

In central Tallinn we found these nice watchtowers. We think they were used to look for hostile cuddly toys trying to invade them.

This cathedral belongs to the Russian Orthodox Church. Again we find Russian stuff here. Why can't the Russians keep their things in Russia?

We are going to join the Olympics next year. But we don't know what event we are going to take. It's either shot put or marathon.

Translation of Zakjekonijn's comment
Well, boats are best with sails on them. Boats without sails get boring after a while, unless you can see outside, of course. We'd enter the jumping Olympic games, if there are any? We'd win that, no problem! Especially my friend Spui, he's the best jumper I've ever seen. And water is really disgusting.
