We thought we'd better get off our arses and do something so we went to the waterfall, just outside of the city. It was fantastic. It's a tiered waterfall and the water was tourquoise - pretty much the closest thing to paradise that I've seen so far. We had a swim and walked to the top of it, which was quite spectacular. lso at the waterfall are Asian beers and a tiger, all of which have been rescued by poachers. There was a picture of the tiger when they found it, which wasn't nice, but looking at it from about 4ft away it is the most incredible animal I've ever seen. I think she's got a pretty good life too, as the pen was like a jungle and absolutely huge. She seemed quite happy anyway!

On the return leg we went to a 'cultural' village, which really means that the locals try and sell you bracelets etc that they have made. I bought a couple and took a couple of photos, which is where these two come from. It's so nice to take photos of the locals and not be asked to pay a dollar for the privilege.

The following day we checked into a rather plush hotel for my birthday. This is no ordinary hotel, but part of the Orient Express chain, and one of the ten best spa hotels in the world. When you've been travelling for 21/2 months and been staying at hostels and guesthouses, it made it even more of a treat! It was amazing the attention to detail was fantastic - they even put flowers in the toilet when you arrive - see picture!! Although the spa was gorgeous the prices were a little steep, so we lookerd through the menu of treatments and found that the steam bath was $5 so we opted for that, even though it turned out to be complimentary in the end. Very nice all the same.

So that's what we've been up to. I won't write anything else as there are loads of pictures for you to look at.

Hope you're all well and keep the emails/ comments coming. Alays good to hear what people are up to back home.
