The Great pyramids from our hotel room
Oh my god,

What a city....arrived in Cario at 5.30am (Bangkok time) Driven from the airport at speeds of 120 kph plus. There are no rules to the traffic. There are no traffic control lights as no one would obey them. Anyway, despite the thrills on the roads, we spent yesterday visiting the old ruins of The Great Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx and other ruins at Memphis. It is very dirty here. The streets are lined with plastic refuse. It is hard to buy a beer. (poor Rob)

Today, we spent the whole day at the Egyptian Museum. Very nice. Just amazing, the pharoahs knew how to organize this country, because its gone to pot...plastic pot.

The first morning, at our hotel, Rob looked out the window. I asked him what the view was like. He replied,"It's OK, there's a bit of a view." I got out of bed to have a look and low and behold, right in front of our window is the great pyramid of Giza.

Tonight, we are off by train to Luxor and Aswan. Hope all goes well as there are heaps of tourist police fitted with machine guns. They
