For two girlies who seem to manage to talk fairly constantly...today we're not going to say too much, as the pictures speak for themselves! The only thing you need to know is that we were up at 4am so brain's are quite confuddled, but our trip to the paradise that is Aquilla Safari Park was well worth the effort! (ooo...and the food was amazing too!)

Take care all, and enjoy the photos!

Something of a rarity on the Western Cape, as they are not acclimatised! African Elephants have ears shaped like the African continent.

Herons often sit on the back of bathing hippos. Fish clean the grasses from the hippo's tummy and herons eat these fish!

Safari Adventure
Wow what great pictures. It certainly beats Marwell and the jeep safari we had in Cyprus. How ever are you both going to settle back into the mundane life which is known as Gosport. Been shopping again today -more money gone. Its going to rain tomorrow you will be pleased to hear so I will probably stay in and do the cleaning. Glad to see you are wearing your lovely hat Hans - Lizzie's is nice too. Have a good day in school tomorrow Love and hugs. Mum O xxxxxxx

Hola!
All I can say is wow! The only thing I was wondering is how many decent steaks you could make from one of those buffalo or perhaps the crocodile - as you can tell conservation was never my strong point, apart from conserving meat in the freezer of course (just kidding!!). It must be quite amazing to be so close to something in the wild that you would normally see in a zoo. I remember once being able to touch a rhino at the zoo in Royan, it felt like stroking a tank and I couldn't get over how big they are either, so for you to see them wild must really be something else. I expect several things that might consider you for lunch were probably lurking somewhere in all that undergrowth as well, good job you are in safe hands!! Love Shaun and Julia

Safari!
Hey! Looks like you had an incredible time. Glad to see that croc was safely on the other side of the fence though. I think you could certainly teach Kat a thing or two about safaris (i.e. they involve dangerous wild animals NOT harmless little orchids) she's getting the wrong idea over in Ecuador.

Hello Miss Bate. We hope are having a good time. You are doing some of the things we have always wanted to do like go on safari and stroke the cheetahs. We have some questions for you, do you like the food, how are you finding the weather, did you have afavourite animal and have you married Johnny Depp yet?
