The Tool Dance...The Tool Dance...The Tool Dance...

It's the new craze in the clubs of Ibiza you know!!!
Today was a typical British Sunday. A day of pub lunches and DIY. Yes you did read that right, we spent the day doing manual labour at the new volunteer house in Fish Hoek.

Okay, so for those of you that don't know we will be packing up and moving on from Chill and Surf. We are travelling at least 2 minutes down the road to Fish Hoek tomorrow to become the first residents of the i-to-i volunteer house.

After a later start we headed to meet Kat at the new house and were then educated in the art of bunk bed construction. We used real tools and made 3 bunk beds (so that's 6 beds all together) between us!!! We had a slight interlude in the middle for lunch at Southern Right Hotel, Fish Hoek, but we would like to point out that we didn't stop for long and were back to work in no time (for those non-believers amongst you, check out the picutures!!!).

We got back to Chill and Surf with aches in muscles we never knew we had and just sat down for a drink with the other inmates at the hostel. It
Yes Daddy, you saw right...Yes Daddy, you saw right...Yes Daddy, you saw right...

...That is your daughter doing barefoot DIY!!!
was quite a sad evening as we were saying bye to everyone, especially our fellow adventurer Pam who was moving north towards Krueger Park (we're very jealous).

The new house doesn't have a computer as yet so we will be making friends with the owners of the local internet cafe. This may mean that our blogs become less regular, but we will be in touch as often as possible. So ttfn. xxx

Hammer time or Hammered?????
Well, hello ladies!! Firstly sorry for a late start in the messages etc, I have not had a computer for a week or so. Managed to accost a friends to write to you. Mind you I am amazed at how much there was to read, I only asked to use it for 2 minutes!!! An hour later I have finally read through the entire blogg!! Looks like you are having a great time, the safari is fab, had to laugh at Lizzi's near miss of the pond as that (sorry!) would have been typical!! I also hope that you have put signs on the bunk beds as some poor unsuspecting african child is likely to get squashed under one of those. Should mention that although you say they know about vegitarian's it would seem by the pictures of the food that you have only found deserts (or desserts (not sure which one! spelling never been strong point!) mind they lookd very nice! Pleased to hear about the children learning so fast that must be so rewarding. Any I hope to be able to log on more often from tomorrow as start the new job and should get a new laptop etc.

Catching up!
Oh wow! We've missed out on reading your blogs for the last couple of days but wow oh wow what fabulous photos of the safari. I can't believe you were able to cuddle cheetars or get as close to the rhino. We might not have seen the evidence for ourselves but the jungle telegraph has certainly kept us up to date !Kevin sends his best, he'll contact again in a few days when he has computer access again. Hope that your move to the new residence will be a good one...perhaps a little nearer to civilisation. You'll be in good practice for DIY on your return...maybe you could re-do your room?!!! Dad says hi, cant believe you have fitted in so much in such a short time. Here's to the adventures of the next two weeks!

cheetahs
To Lizzie, are you having a good time? We all like the photos of the cheetahs and the alligator. We liked the photo of the backside of the rhino, was it smelly? It was funny when the heron was on the hippo's back and when the rhino dug his horn in the other ones bottom! We liked when the penguins were holding hands and the sunsets looked cool. Do you have any photos of the children and our pictures? love from Year 3

Lots of questions!!!
Hey Year 3!!! How nice it is to hear from you all! We aren't allowed to take photographs of the children at the school until our last day, so you may have to wait for them, I'm afraid! They do love all of your pictures though...they're treasured possessions!!! We both loved the safari too! We didn't get close enough to the rhino's bottom to be able to tell if it was smelly...but it's dung certainly was!!! We look forwards to hearing from you again soon and keep up the questions! xxx

Girls at work?????
Wot no goggles, hard hat or even shoes!!!! obviously only one of you is the sensible one????? don't worry you're still special.Glad to see you are not relying on the opposite sex for the manual labour. Have you had a good nights sleep in the bed? (and not on the floor) So obviously the Junior Camerons are now watching you and are wishing you lots of memorable experiences! Take care and look forward to the book!! xx
