Well I survived my first night in Sydney. Literally. The Shuttle driver I had to get to the hostel was freaking CRAZY! He had no respect for pedestrians...lol...

I finally got in around 6:30 to Asylum Sydney. Was a little akward at first as it would usually be when you go to somewhere new. Went to go get dinner and ended up talking to someone who was staying at the hostel for a night, so at least I had company...Later on I went down to the lounge area and met some more people which was nice. I actually ended up going out to this one place with 3 of the guys I had met. They were all pretty nice. One was 22 who was on an exchange from Japan I think and I can't remember his name so we'll call him "Masi" to mak it easier lol, the other, Martin, was this 27 year old from London, and then Faris was from Germany and he was 26. Faris I found out got a degree in Marine Biology which I thought was cool! He and I had a random burst of excited Marine Biology talk at the club, it was pretty cool though. He's specializing in Microbology. Felt a little weird hanging out w/ these 3 guys, but they were pretty chill. Martin ended up leaving early I think because he didn't like the music that was playing downstairs where we were at this club. He left hours before we did. Upstairs was literally a blast from my past music wise-5ive, S Club 7, Spice Girls, etc...pretty funny. I liked it too, but downstairs was where everyone was.

Spent most of the time hanging out w/ Faris because "Masi" was wondering around taking pictures of the girls-It happened to be playboy theme night... I just can't believe after walking all over the city to find this place (we walked EVERYWHERE-we WERE walking in the wrong direction, but male ego got in the way...I TRIED to tell them...but noooooo they didn't listen) we get there and end up staying until 5AM...

Thank goodness I was hanging around Faris. He was like a bodyguard when need be . First when we were upstairs, I went to the bathroom and this random dude made me kiss his cheek as a "passing fee". He wasn't so bad though. Outfit wise, I'll have to disagree. So then we moved downstairs after a bit, and it was just a sea of people and crazy lights. At one point, I thought I saw Cameron, one of the guys from North Shore. So I called out to the guy, and BIG MISTAKE, it wasn't Cameron. Instead it was this 28yr old who taught 18 and 19 year olds... yeah that freaked me out...So luckily Faris was within arms reach and I kept staring at him and he'd ask me if I was okay which was sweet. I think it was when I was just standing there looking around and this dude leaned in and tried to lay one on me, that's when I started freaking out. I grabbed Faris's shirt and pulled him over and just jumped down to where he was standing. Ah, protection and a watchful eye. What a nice thing...THEN later, some IDIOT STOOD on me! Yes! STOOD on me, and in the process ended up breaking one of my shoes!!! I was sooo mad. By then it was about 2AM so we were getting pretty tired, but it just frustrated me so bad. I'm going to have to go buy some shoes. URGH. But I had to walk home barefoot which sucked. Later on into the wee hours, this random Indian dude decided to try and talk to me about India or something, but I ended up inching away and moving to the other side of Farris. I think it should be illegal for seedy random guys to be in a club...lol. They need like a "I'm a good person" seal of approvement or something to be able to get into clubs. Seriously. lol...

Anyways, we finally left at 5AM, and walked all the way back to the hostel. Didn't take too long, but my feet were black by the time we got back. I don't know how I woke up before 10:30AM...I thought for sure I'd sleep until Noon. Luckily I didn't.

Well I'm off for now, going to go see what Farris and them are up to. Hope all is well back home!

P.S. Happy Easter (it's Sunday here...)
P.P.S. I reak of cigarette smoke. Still! If you smoke, you really are a dumbass.
