It's a hard life!
On Magnetic Island Me again!
We're just back from our sailing trip in the Whitsundays - the room is still rocking from the boat, we have washed off the dirt and salt and inspected the bruises, and concluded that we had an absolutely fantastic time. We sailed on a 75 foot maxi racing yacht - it sailed the Sydney to Hobart yacht race several times and won, but it's not big enough for round-the-world type racing. There were 19 of us on board, plus 4 crew, which was few enough to learn people's names and feel like we were a small group. We spent two days cruising the Whitsundays - stopping to snorkel on parts of the Great Barrier Reef (again!), to laze on the stunning Whithaven Beach (consistently voted in the top 10 beaches in the world), dangling our legs over the windward side of the boat as we heeled at 45'... Fantastic!! Our evenings were spent moored in sheltered bays, drinking beer and getting to know our companions, and we slept on board. It wasn't luxurious, in fact our skipper told us it was like camping on water, but it was great fun!
I'm putting some photos from all of
our east coast trip onto this blog, so enjoy!
love from Jo and Graeme x

Wow
That's it, Jo. The sailing - WOW! The rest looks great too, but I think you'll understand I just think the sailing looks fab! Do you think Graeme will be up for buying a boat when you come home?
