First stop in queenstown was a bungy bridge, but having done an almost identical one in Auckland I wasn't that interested. Booked the other 2 jumps instead.

Got to hostel (nice one- not the dump that the kiwi bus was dropping people) and was still full of energy due to lots of sleeping, so was quite keen for a few beers as we'd got some vouchers from the bus man. I did this, and it was fun. I also had a Fergburger. Fergburger, as well as being an amusing word, is a famous (round here) burger shop. I'm writing this a few days after, and my tally is now 6. They are very good and big. The bar we went to was a bit rubbish, and I ended up being isolated from the group having a very one-sided (not mine) conversation with I think the most annoying german in the world.

The next morning was taken up with a big sleep, although at around lunchtime I headed into town to have a look around, and have my next Fergburger (Lamb one this time). Bumped into some of the guys from the bus, so went for a beer by the lake to prepare myself for my second bungy jump, this time from the ledge, which looks over the lake and town from up a big hill. This one is attached to your chest instead of ankles, so the idea is to run up and jump. I managed to do two full somersaults before the cord kicked in, which was interesting and really disorientating. I really like bungy jumps.

Went for a few quiet beers after with some others that had jumped, followed by another Fergburger (blue cheese on this one) and bed.

The next day (Fri 9th) was the day that a bus departed at 8.25 in the am to go to Dunedin. I had booked a ticket on this bus, but various factors outside of my control meant that I wasn't able to get on it. Because I was asleep.

This presented a problem as I had tickets for the rugby that night, and that was the only bus.

The lady in the information centre helpfully told me I was a bit stuck, but I could always hitch. Plan.

Driver number one (20 minutes) - Appearing in court later this week on drug dealing charges
Driver number two (30 minutes) - Life was falling apart and discussed suicide. Odd.
Driver number three (2 hours) - Fashion designer with brand new 4x4 who i think fancied me a bit, but I didnt care. And he introduced me to his PR woman when we got to Dunedin and bought me a pint. I think he's quite famous.
