Arrived early in the morning and the temperature was 29 degrees. It was very humid, I was not particularly rested, as I had had to sit next to a rather large man on the flight and as he spilled ver into my seat I was un able to sit comfortably. I am amazed at how this section of the journey has affected me, I have lost sleep before, but never with loosing hours of the night time as well it has made the effect much worse.

My instinct was to sleep once I was settled into my hotel, but the conflict in my brain was to get out there and see what there is to see. The tiredness won in the end and I settled down for an hour or two’s sleep.

At Noon I stepped out into the hot Singapore sunshine, this is a fantastic City and got myself onto the open bus tour that takes in all the sights of the city. Had a walk around Chinatown and had some lunch, then made my way to Little India and the famous Orchard Road. I found a great food hall (Somthing that I have experienced before in Thailand), this is where you order all the food from different stalls and then you find your seat and as if by magic all the food is delivered to your table. I had some fantastic Chicken and Noodles and they seemed to last forever, this was not that it was a big portion but that I was having to eat Noodles with Chop Sticks.

Found a marvellous Hindu Temple where some locals tried to convert me to Hinduism I was blessed and given a bindy mark .
As I am setting off for Perth Tomorrow I had to get my body clock adjusted as best I can so an early night is in order.

Wished i had more time here 1 day s just not enough

Excuse me, but you have a red mark on your forehead
How interesting - I read somewhere that non-Hindus aren't allowed to convert, at least in India.

Singapore Temples
I have visited that Hindu Temple in Singapore and thought it rather tacky, whereas the Buddist Temple round the corner was very Beautiful and peaceful. I was not a great lover of Singapore - it was too humid for my liking and if you did not like shopping there was not much else to do there. Love the travel blog. David
