I am sitting in my hotel room in Jo'burg I flew up here today in order to get my connecting flight tomorrow to Singapore, Very sad I had to say goodbye to James earlier; as he went off back to London to go back to work (Whats That?) I guess it will feel a bit strange being on my own now for a while but it wont be for long. I am so excited about getting to Singapore and then onto Australia to see Family.

The weather today in Cape Town was not so good can you belive it ? it was grey skies and Raining. but it was still 30 degrees, a bit uncomfortable; so it seemed easy to leave, I had a good flight to Jo'burg it was just two hours and the sun was shining to welcome me when I got here.

I am staying in an enclosed complex near the airport ,so I feel quite safe, Jo'burg has not got a very good reputation in terms of its personal safety at night. I will be staying inside the complex tonight. The complexs is called the Emperors Palace and has a masive entertainment centre and Casino. Have a look at the link; I have had a wander but dont fancy loosing my shirt today. Short entry tonight as I am tired

I have changed my mind and Im off out to have a flutter, dont have to get up too early tomorrow so will be to stay out for a little while. Goodness with me changing my mind that quickly i may well lose my shirt! I promise Mum I wont get carried away

Love to you all
Andrew

Jo good to get your message and that your back safe

Beautiful pictures!
Andrew, The pictures were all looking very familiar up til now...we never got as far as Jo'berg! Looks like you're having a lovely time, glad to hear (and see!). Enjoying the blog, though making everyone back here very envious I'm sure...it certainly is making me so! Take care, Emma (James Barge's lady!)

Some People!
Dear Andrew, It sounds like you're having a great adventure while the rest of us responsible adults perform our usual mundane duties - how nice for you! I tried to follow your globetrotting on the link, but it made my computer crash, thank you very much> RBKC will not have that sort of thing going on on its IT equipment. Everything is fine here. Kathleen is doing a great job. She threw a brilliant champagne reception last nigh, and every-one remarked how much better every-thing seems since she took over. I thought the new jacuzzi and wet bar in her office (funny, it seemed to me that it had been your office) were over the top, but then good is it to be the new CEO of WCT if you can't have a few perks? Anyway, I'm sure you'll find a new job in no time upon your return. Happy trails to you, Tim
