We have arrived, a day early after doing 270km in two, rather than three days. Across a rather cool desert, thankfully.

Eventually found some traffic, and more Indian like horn useage. I've even been in to a conventional shop yesterday. And found a hospital with some drugs, so the potential for Jac mouth frothage is now all but extinct, which is nice.

Running water, lights, choice of food, paper in most toilets, quite incredible....

More soon, later.

Bikes stacked, final distance something like 2600km along, 26km up and I guess about 23km down! Highest point (50m lower than highest Peruvian pass, second hghest!) 4749m, more about that later!

Big thanks to my (Norma's) family in Boliva, our adopted family in Macari, Bananna Man and his water supplies somewhere in the scared valleys, the Mango girls on route to Andahuaylas, the Geologist saviours, so many others and the rest of southern Peru! Legendary, x x!!!

Also ofcourse all at home, work and MT. Mellow lama for holding the fort and extracting cash from some spanards, the spaniards for allowing him to do so! Look forward to meeting you ont your return. My medical advisors Charlotte, Evie and Twinks. M and D as always. Big Bro Andy. And our only subscriber Ginger Squirrel Numero Uno, Big (massive by the standards here) Stevie Booth.

MM for thier patience. Ross for a rear brake that got me more than half way around. Roxy and mi new auntie M for encouragng messages and a taste of what I was missin (or wasn't!). Given that I haven't actually won anything, reckon I'll prob stop there. Guess I should finish on a thanks to anyone else that I haven't already thats read this, despite the fact that it would have probably been there even if you hadn't! What..., quite.

Ofcourse more than all, big thanks to Mr D Courage, stuck with it, and me, the ups and downs, even when loose under tyre. Been a pleasure, as always, despite perhaps a few too many inadvertant glimpses of your bare behind. Where next?!?

Hope to see you all soon, failing which have a great Christmas and New Year, enjoy be good, love and be happy!!! x

Congratulations on a great trip, and thanks,at least from our point of view for putting your progress on the www. We've been entranced by your accounts and it's incredible that we could see some of the views you had. Look forward to seeing you when you're back in Scotland.

OY YOU- I SUBSCRIBE!
WELL THE TITLE SAYS IT ALL REALLY... HOWEVER I ADMIT THAT I ONLY SUBSCRIBED RECEINTLY AND I'M NOT EVEN SURE I WAS SENT ANYTHING... NOT SURE WHY I'M WRITING IN CAPS LOCK oh, that feels better..... Well done guys, thats gotta be one of the toughest 'holidays' i've heard of! Your 'holiday' in general receives a fairly high ‘laughometer’ reading on site – and that’s in windy, freezing, uncomfortable ‘lets get the job done and piss off’ Musselburgh. James remember to suppress any temptation to bite people until the rabies injections take effect. Looking forward to catchin ya for Christmas biguin! – I’ll try and get your camera – I’ve written a note! Andy
