Saturday- long day of travel. Made it to San Juan del Sur in Nicaragua. Hot, sweaty, BEAUTIFUL little town. Sunday I went to another beach called Maderas where a world class surf competition was underway (see pictures). Sunday night two funny Canadian girls talked me into heading to Isla de Ometepe with them on Monday. Packed my junk and I jetted with them and 5 others in the back of a truck to the dock of the lake. We then took an hour ferry to the island. Me, Melissa, and Grace (the Canadian girlys) waited for the bus with an ice cream sandwitch and then took the most rickety, half-assed, bo-bo bus ride for 3 hours to Hacienda Merida- where I am currently. It was well worth the ride(s)! Its perfect weather here, I think Im being spoiled! Theres always a nice breeze, and the sound of the lake, and monkeys and other noise making animals! Tomorrow we're going to hike to a waterfall, and then the day after that we're headed to another part of the island... after this, maybe Granada?
I love and miss you all. Pura Vida.
