Well not exactly, we are smelly backpackers remember, its more plastic bags than Gucci bags for us right now.
Scott Writes: Originally we were supposed to fly back to KL and then catch another flight onwards to Bangkok which had been pre-booked. However, it was much cheaper to fly straight to Bangkok from Kota Kinabalu and miss out the other flight so we opted to do that and were back in Thailand one day early as well. Nice One!

We have had great times in Bangkok and Thailand and were really pleased to be back in the city for the forth time and treated ourselves to a nice meal as an arrival present. We had only a couple of days here before we have to catch our Emirates flight over to SA so our mission was pretty much to do lots of shopping and eat as much Thai food as possible.

Totally unlike us we had spent a few hours researching places to stay in the city, so when we arrived we knew exactly where to go on Sukhumvit Road. However, when we got to the place we couldn't bring ourselves to spend the extra money on the room, so we were pointed down a side street and stayed in a totally random place run by an American

guy. It was defo good enough but had some rather interesting items in the 'in-room' fruit bowl, which we wondered whether these rooms were more rented out by the hour than the day!
Anyway, we had Football and Movies on the TV so we could easily drown out next door if we had to.

For the rest of the time we camped ourselves within the confines of the Siam Square shopping district and MBK centre and purchased loads of good stuff for family and friends (and a few things for us and the hopuse as well). We didn't venture down to the infamous Khao San Road this time but did go to the day time Bollywood Market and Patpong night market with it's hundred of stalls and "ping-pong' show bars along the side alleys. A tout from one of the bars tried to tempt us in with the proposition of seeing the show which included Basketballs.

we said, and walked away!

When it was time to leave we felt that Bangkok was the prefect place the end this part of our trip as it also marked our first place all those month ago. Now we were two
