hi!

i am going to mexico with my sister in to weeks. i´ll be staying for three weeks and have lots of things to see.
one thing i have not planned yet, is where i am going to swim with dolphins. i am flying to mexico city, where i will be staying for 3 days. after that i´m goning lots of diferent places -and the journey will end at yucatan and isla mujeres.
does anyone now where the best place to swim with dolphins is? I am very "pro animal rights" and it must therefor be a place where they threat the dolphins very nice.
I have read that you can do it on sla mujeres - but is it a good place?

thanks

i swam w/ dolphins in Acapulco, Mexico but it was at the aquarium. Still a good experience though. Got a ride on them, and had pictures taken with them.

Unfortunately that doesn't compare to when I went swimming w/ wild dolphins on Oahu, Hawaii. That was by far the best moment ever. But seeing as you're going to mexico, I hope that's at least an idea! 😊

I believe the aquarium is called Magico Mundo Marino (Magic Marine World). I can't really remember b/c I went there with my family when we were on a cruise. If you google it, or "swimming with dolphins in Acapulco, Mexico" several things come up, as well as comments about experiences.

Hope that helps! Reply to this

I wish I could swim with dolphins. Always thought it would be beautiful. If I ever get a chance to swim with dolphins...I'll make sure to look into doing it in Oahu, Hawaii. Thanks for the tip. Reply to this

Hi I work as mystery shopper and my job is to use all the services that my company sends me to. I went to the entire swim with dolphins locations at Cancun and Riviera Maya. I can tell you that some of them have good things and some bad things, but definitively, there’s one place that I really love because they really care about dolphins well-being in many ways (scientific, health, facilities, relationship between trainers and dolphins, the costumer service), more than the other companies, this place is Delphinus.
The best thing for me was to realize that the dolphins really looked for the caress of their trainers, and the trainers really like to be with them, even if they were not working in a schedule programmed. They really enjoy to be together.
They have great facilities; the swimming area is a natural environment seeking the best conditions for dolphins, so they can feel like they still are in a wild life way. They respect the surface required for each dolphin in accordance with the specifications of the Mexican Official Norms. Other good thing is that they have a veterinary staff that every day looks over the dolphin’s health.
I can recommend you this company, also because they have four different locations (Riviera Maya, Cancun Dreams, Xel-ha and Xcaret) but do it at Riviera Maya or Dreams Cancun because you won’t have to pay a entrance fee like in Xcaret or Xel-ha parks.

So if you are looking for a pro animal locations do it at Delphinus!!
I hope this can help to decide you
Enjoy your stay in Cancun take care Reply to this
