Can any of you who have traveled through Asia extensively tell me another country that I could love as much as Thailand?? Or even more?? Everything about Thailand is fun! The food, the sights, the people, the bargains, the internet cafes, etc. Please let me know as I am planning my next vacation.

I've been visiting Thailand since I was 16 - now 33. I agree Thailand is a special place but it has chan ged tremendously. I suggest you visit Laos as I've heard great things -better than Cambodia and more akin to Thailand 20 yrs ago.

Reply to this Laos is a wonderful country, but you can't compare it to Thailand. Two different cultures, language, government and more. Go to both countries. And Khao Lak is a great place to visit in Thailand. Hidden secrets and away from the tourist traps. Right on the west coast and the Andaman Sea north of Phuket.
