Can any of you who have traveled through Asia extensively tell me another country that I could love as much as Thailand?? Or even more?? Everything about Thailand is fun! The food, the sights, the people, the bargains, the internet cafes, etc. Please let me know as I am planning my next vacation.

I've been visiting Thailand since I was 16 - now 33. I agree Thailand is a special place but it has chan ged tremendously. I suggest you visit Laos as I've heard great things -better than Cambodia and more akin to Thailand 20 yrs ago.

Yes I agree. I for one am just stopping by Chiang Mai for a few days before heading off to Laos for a three-week tour.

Laos is a wonderful country, but you can't compare it to Thailand. Two different cultures, language, government and more. Go to both countries. And Khao Lak is a great place to visit in Thailand. Hidden secrets and away from the tourist traps. Right on the west coast and the Andaman Sea north of Phuket.

Thailand and Laos , they are the brotherhood , If you like the north of thailand , like Pai you should go laos , But they have no beach . damm
