Hi

This is a girl from China and would like to go to Philipines in January(maybe 1/12-1/22) for the big festivals in Cebu,Boracay, etc.
My initial plan is cebu-balawan-IIoilo(Dinayang festival)-Boracay(Ati-Atihan festival)-Cebu(Sinulog festival)-Manila-back

Anyone at that time will be there too? Please let me know : )
Or you have any good idea and suggestion for that?
Looking forward to the message

hi! just book early as those are festival days. if you are going to cebu, you may want to take a side trip to bohol, sightseeing: beach in panglao island, chocolate hills, tarsier, loboc river. enjoy the sunset in boracay :-) Reply to this

I agree with Agnes that you have to book very early since flights to and hotels at these places get quickly fully booked in the month of January. Maybe you mean Palawan (balawan) and I suggest you go to El Nido or Coron, Palawan.

Yes, Ati Atihan festival is always on the third Sunday of January; but the highlight will be on Sunday, January 20, 2008.

By the way, i forwarded a personal message to you 😊

There is no ferry from Cebu to Boracay. You can take ferry from Cebu to Iloilo.

From Iloilo you can take bus to Caticlan, then Bangka to Boracay.

Alternative, Plane Cebu - Caticlan

And when you still need a cheap private accomodation 1 minute from White Beach/Boracay, you can contact me anytime ! I´m sure you'll have an exciting journey in the Philippines !

Palawan is the place to be.

Yes, Palawan is great ! When you have a chance visit El Nido Marine Park in Miniloc. There you also find the Dugong. They are extremely rare; growing to 3m in length and can weigh up to two tons. They breed very slowly, with a gestation period of around a year and with the females only giving birth once every three years at best. Palawan is one of the dugong's last chomping grounds !!

Let me know if you are in Cebu for Sinulog. I'll be around. It's always great to get passes so you can join the festival, instead of being on the side of the street. Reply to this
