Hi! I'm travelling to Costa Rica for 10 weeks in October and was wondering if anyone had any tips or advice? Or particular places I should visit? I'm doing conservation work and learning Spanish while I'm there so have a basic programme I'll be following but any other things I should do would be much appreciated!
Thanks!
Reply to this I just went to Manuel Antonio,,lots of wildlife but also lots of tourist.
If you like diving check http://www.richcoastdiving.com. Playas del Coco is the best place to dive.
Monteverde is I guess a must do and I like Tronodora. check our blog, it's all about Costa Rica!!
Reply to this You gotta try whitewater rafting and ziplining. Monteverde was a great place for the zips! Have fun!
Reply to this hey am in CR at the mo.... in 10 weeks you can see pretty much everything if you want to. its stunning here and the wildlife is amazing.
but on big tip is watch your stuff like a hawk, and be prepared for rain in Oct. don't let this put you off though... CR is loads of fun!! go to both coasts as they are totally different, go to the forests, do everything>!
Reply to this If you tell us a little more about your interests, maybe we could give better suggestions :-) Where are you doing your program? I was in San Jose for 6 weeks a few years ago. This summer I'll be in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca (carribean coast) for a week, and Liberia (in guanacaste) for 3 weeks, so feel free to ask me any questions about those places. Have a great time! Oh, you should definitely go rafting if you like adventurous and thrilling activities.....it was awesome when i went. Just go with a good, safe company.
