My husband and I are setting of for 6 weeks to travel around Malaysia and Thailand in July. We intend to visit Ko Samet for a few days, before travelling down to the Perhensions, Pulau Kapas and Pulau Lang Tengah. From there we intend to travel South on the jungle railway and eventually visit Pulau Tioman.
We are trying to set a budget and would be grateful if anyone who has stayed in any of these places recently could give us some indication of price for accomodation. We were on Ko Phi Phi at Christmas and were quite shocked at the way prices had gone up since the previous Christmas and wondered if this was the trend all over Thailand and Malaysia.
We are fairly easily pleased, basic clean accomodation with a fan and preferably flush toilets. Don't mind having a short walk to 'night life', beaches ect.
Any help and recomendations would be much appreciated.
