WILLIAM ABNEY
Professional student and teacher of Writing and Literature in Athens, GA. I love sports, languages, and travelling, and my life is best when I get to combine as many of those elements as possible! My wanderings tend to be solo, though I frequently meet up with friends that I've met on my previous travels. Some of my favorite things to do while travelling are eating local foods (though I'm sort of a picky eater), spending time in the outdoors, and seeing plays, musicals, or concerts. Thanks for the honor! I can't say that I expected to be taking many good photos when we arrived in Santa Monica for New Year's Eve, mainly because the views weren't what you see in the movies or on TV--clear vistas with warm weather and loads of sun. Instead, foggy and dreary views met us as we strolled along the beach toward the pier. This was my first time ever seeing the Pacific Ocean, and I wanted to make sure to capture everything I could, to remember it all. I was with my dad on our road trip from Georgia to the Rose Bowl, and this was our westernmost point. It was a pretty magical trip, and despite the cooler temperatures and less-than-perfect weather, the experiences (and the views) were still impressive. Reply to this
