Travelling America and wanting some advise on where to go, how to get there.
Hi Travelling to san Francisco next week and in need of some advise on where to go, I have a hostel for three nights there, after that I'm free to go anywhere I feel. I'm 26 and of cause like to party has anyone got any good ideas on where to go? Shall I hitch hike and find my way around or shall I rent a car?
Please any advise will be great. I have three weeks in total and coming from England 😊
Reply to this Welcome to Travelblog! With three weeks, you're pretty much restricted to the western US. Hitching in the states is very dangerous. If budget is an issue, the bus system has a scary reputation but is mostly safe. With more funds available, renting a car helps getting places quickly. If you can afford it, renting a convertible will create the classic movie-image of a California vacation (I've done it, and it was worth every cent).
Las Vegas has a well-earned reputation as one of the world's ultimate party cities, but it will also utterly destroy your budget. I enjoyed my visit, but prefer other areas.
If you like the outdoors, Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada are a must see, although you'll need to stay pretty far away (everything near the park was booked months ago).

There is so much to do in SF you may want to stay more than 3 days. So many great places to listen to music in SF.
You can easily spend 3 weeks in SF, traveling down the coast to LA and then on to San Diego. Lots of partying available in San Diego.
