Has anyone been with this company before or have any other recommended companies. | Anyway my main point is there is a US$45 charge for hiring a porter for the 4 day treck. Would this be worthwhile? To avoid this, try to pack of all of your things required for the trek into a 30L backpack and carry that and leave the remainder of your belongings (and heavier backpack) at a hostel back in Cuszco. I think its doable with your daypack and don't really need a porter unless you're attempting to trail run the entire thing with only a camelbak. | travel_addicted Alexina & Sarah Post Count: 28 Msg: #3 143 weeks ago, March 22nd 2007 | Hi, | we went with SAS travel and I would say a porter is worth it. I personally found the whole experience much more enjoyable without having to carry my stuff around. If you can fit everything into a daypack then you could do it without. SAS travel were fine! I felt very safe with them and they fed us well.
