dspianist Daniel is new to TB. He was recently in the Philippines to accompany his grandfather to a war veterans ceremony. He's got beautiful prose! Very elegant writing style. And I've never read or seen a young man travelling with his grandfather before. It's very refreshing :-)
Reply to this I'd like to nominate Andre van Leijen & Linda Tluckova...their recent blog starts out with "I wish I was the pope" regarding snafus of their arrival in Manila (which had me laughing from the start). The blogs are humorous, insightful and informative. The prior blog of visit to Siem Reap and his reflections of being at a Cambodian refugee camp 32 years before was very moving.
