I am traveling to Colorado Sept 21 to Sept 29. Flying into Denver. Any tips on best areas to see fall foliage this during late September?
Reply to this LulaBee,
Welcome to Travelblog! I loved Colorado foliage when I visited; all the aspen trees turn a carpet of yellow. Almost anywhere in the central Rockies will be very pretty in late September. I did some hikes, which get away from most of the crowds. The state has a fall foliage guide at: http://www.parks.state.co.us/pages/fall.aspx
Visiting this year will be trickier than normal, due to the massive flood on the Front Range which did unbelievable damage near Denver. Many roads are currently damaged or closed. You'll need to get updated information after landing. More information on that is at: http://www.coloradodot.info/travel
Enjoy the trip, and looking forward to the blogs.
