Bangkok

I am interested in taking a bike ride out of the city and have found several places willing to organize small groups, any suggestions on places to go would be very welcome. Do you know of good moderately priced hotels, must go to sights? Great small restraurants? Any suggestions for the independent travel that likes to experience the culture and the people would be greatly appreciated. Any great books on Thailand that I should read before I go? Reply to this

thanx for the info...just seen some very interestin places to check out there in bangkok...i'll be there on 1st of march but i'm only plannin to have a few days but might stretch it out a bit longer now...i was thinkin of headin up north to chiang mai would love to be stoppin off along the way...places like the ruins in ayuthaya are well spoken of...any other points of interest that can be recommended along the way???
