Hi Paul,

The Blog to Book feature on TB only allows for creation of books from your own blog entries.

Are you wanting to create a book from a single blogger's entries or work from a mix of bloggers?

Hi Paul,

To answer your question- Like Jo mentioned above, currently it's only possible to turn your own blog into a book. Due to copyright issues we can't allow you to print someone else's blog.

We used to offer a way for users to create a book that was available for purchase by others. It wasn't very popular so we stopped supporting it. But even in that case, the blog owner had to create the book.

We do appreciate your feedback and I will pass along your feature request to the rest of the team. Please feel free to email us at info@droptheworld.com if you have any further questions / comments.

An interesting subject, this, and one many of us will have thought about perhaps. Generally though, travel blog postings are relatively short and without a continuing story to hold the reader's attention. Additionally they are supported by numerous photographs - where they might form the cenrepiece of the story. Travels that cover longer periods might lend themselves to publication, even as a series of short stories; our 17 month journey circumnavigating North America by RV for example, but a lot of work would need to be done to 'de-personalise it' for publication, something common to most blogs.
I understand where you are coming from, but we would have to understand what the publisher wants. The tough bit as always, is finding a publisher with travel in their portfolio and one prepared to go with your genre!
There are many leads on the net that might be worth persuing.

Hey David & Janice,

Glad to hear there may be more interest in a bookstore feature than we had thought. We're always looking to add features to Drop the World that help Travelblog.org users. As we move forward we'll take a closer look at whether we should re-introduce support for the bookstore feature. Even if there isn't mass appeal for printed copies of most travel blogs. It is probably useful to provide a way for a user's friends and family members to purchase hard copies of their blog. Thanks for the feedback, we really appreciate it. Please let us know if there are any other features you'd like to see added to our service.
