I will be celebrating my bday in Bangkok (for the 2nd year!).
I was debating going to bed supperclub, but I'm not sure the music will be to our taste and as my bday is on a Friday I don't want to spend so much money on food to leave soon after.
I did the Loy Nava last year and it was wonderful so looking for a different experience this year. I definitely want to do cocktails in a roof top bar (probably the sky bar) but don't know what else to do - anyone got any ideas for something really memorable? Also if it rains do the roof top bars shut?

If you want nice food...nice wine...and a seriously cheap bill....Wine Connetions, at K Village, Sukhumvit Soi 26, just behind the Big C on Rama 4.
I love the place...you pick your wine in the shop and pay only 10% service charge...and the food is more than decent...nice bottle of wine...plus the food won't be more than 1500b. Be ready to queue for a table....but that's allow you to have a bottle for aperitif first.
Than you can make you way to Vertigo at Banyan Tree on Sathorn, it's way cheaper than Sirocco at the Lebua.
Another alternative, way more romantic, is the boat of the Banyan Tree....nice dinner, but that's going to hurt your wallet way more....

Reply to this Its nice idea to celebrate birthday at a unique places. Bangkok is famous due to its uniqueness. I think you have to arrange small party at beach resort. Through this you can enjoy more at a nice place.
Also beach resort offer different discounts for these type of parties including some taste food items.
