Where does one start with planning a trip like this from Kentucky to Niagara Falls then down the east coast to Virginia. What do I need to see as the most important sights. What are the great places that sill standout for a lifetime. What are your favorite places to go and see?? Will need help on places to see, eat and stay. Please help these travelers get a start on this wonderful journey. Limited funds but wanting this vaction to be wonderful!!

Welcome to Travel Blog. I've done a trip like this one, and it was the trip of a lifetime. The most important planning is to make a list of things you like to do. Do you want to do long wildernness hikes, scenic drives, big cities, historic sites, or something else? The amount of experiences available is far too large to see on a single trip (or a single lifetime!). After that, buy a good guidebook (I like Moon Handbooks because they are through and cover many areas). Reading the travelblogs for the areas you are thinking about will also produce some great ideas.
