Starting at Hilton Head SC and then straight thru to Wilmington NC.. Does anyone have fun places to see, things they really enjoyed seeing? Since I have never been, and am really tired looking at resource guides, maybe some comments from travelers that have already visited might have some advice. Lots of Thanks

Given your itenerary, its closer to "South Carolina coast" than North Carolina. North Carolina is over three hundred miles east to west, and Wilmington is in the southeast corner.

Along the coast, Charleston SC is an absolute must see. Great food, deep history, and incredibly pretty. Take the Gullah Tour for an amazing look at the city's African American experience. Fort Sumter is also well worth the time.

Hilton Head is close enough to Savannah GA, another historic and pretty city, that I would look at that too. Every steet in the historic district is a perfect photo oportunity. Either bring a guidebook with lots of historic background or take a walking tour.

Have fun on your trip.
