Surfing – Indonesia is a Mecca for surfers from around the world.

Komodo National Park – Home of the biggest reptile in the world.

Komodo park especially is a very interesting one that I'm sure you would enjoy. Also if your on a budget then I would recommend that you check out some websites for hotel deals , I personally regularly check out <snip> which offer some good deals every week or so.

Hi, i think Bali can offer pretty much everything so i guess you need to think about what youre after. Youve said relaxing and rent a villa so you could look at Seminyak which is pretty much where all the private villas are and some nice expensive restaraunts on the beach.
If its more relaxing and a bit less touristy then you could try Ubud as that is a little further away and less chaotic or Sunur and Nusa Dua both have the more expensive hotels if youre happy to just stay in your hotel and enjoy its benefits than do anything touristy.

Bali will have a massive range of food. Standard indonesian food you can get really cheap and pretty much everywhere but you can also find pizza, italian, german and a lot of western food pretty much everywhere too. There are some really gourmet type restaraunts ranging in japanese through to mediterean etc. I think you can find anything you want and choose to jump into the tourist destinations, skirt around the edges or just take off to the country areas and live near rice patties etc. Reply to this
