This is where my boyfriend is going next week. Unfortuately, I wont be going, as somebody has to child mind. Or maybe not unfortunately, as this festival is even too uncomfortable for a hardened budget backpacker, such as I am. I am not so sure, my years of roughing it in various parts of the world would have prepared me for the 3 days of burping, puking, screaming, muddy metal heads. I was making a list of things my boyfriend needs for this festival, so I could pick them up at the shops. He crossed soap off the list, because it wont be needed there. I think that is because showering facilities are not so great there and all water has to be bought. Last year, he bought a 5 litre bottle of it, to wash with and drink. He doesnt want any bread, crackers... as they would get wet. Absolutely nothing stays dry there, whether it rains or not. When he came home from this festival last year, he went straight to the garden to empty his backpack and remove clothes that were not fit to be removed in the bathroom.
There wont be a blog about the festival, but if he takes photos I will post them here.

Friday 13th, the video you posted won't work. My German in not good enough to fully understand the explanation about why I cant watch it. Something about this video not being available in Germany. I thought, ''f*ck them! and their not allowed'' so I searched for the band and song on the U-tube search and am listening to it right now, whether whoever denied me access to the video supplied by Dave agrees or not. 😊

Some unusual enterprises at the festival
This one is a vagrant who hangs around the enterance to the festival every year, at Balingen. People give him their empty bottles which he takes back to the shops to get the deposit. They also give him clothes and food.
