Hi JanPF,

Fortunately, there are lots of stuff to see and do in Java, namely:
- Trekking in Ujung Kulon National Park and Mount Halimun Salak National Park if rainforests and wild animals are your thing.
- Diving in the pristine waters of the Karimunjawa islands.
- Peeking into the crater of a volcano up close and personal at Tagkuban Perahu (in Bandung).
- Watching the breathtaking sun rise from the Bromo-Tengger-Semeru National Park.
- Surfing and conquering one of the world's great waves at G-Land near Banyuwangi.
- Taking the day train to travel from Jakarta to Yogyakarta. The train trip itself is a sight to behold the beautiful landscapes (as well as being a cheaper and more relaxing way to travel around Java *winks*)
- Shopping! No trip can be complete without visiting the humongous shopping malls in Jakarta. Reply to this

Hi JanPF, I lived in Indonesia, maybe this itinerary can help you:

Week 1: Bandung and Jogjakarta
-Bandung:
-Go to Tangkuban Perahu. You can see Ratu and Domas craters.
-Go to Ciater hot spring pool. Near Tangkuban Perahu.
-Jogjakarta
-Go to Borobudur and Prambanan to see Buddhist and Hindu great temple.
-Go to Malioboro street and Bringharjo local market to buy cheap Batik Shirt and other local stuff.

Week 2: Bali
-Kuta, Sanur, Tanah Lot, Nusa dua, Nusa Lembongan are the most visited beaches in Bali.
-Go to Ubud to see up close about culture and buy some painting.

Week 3: Lombok
-Just four hours from Bali, you arrived the second most visited island after Bali. It has a beautiful beaches at Sengigi and Kuta. If you need a quite peace place to sunbath and snorkeling, just go to the Gili. There are three famous Lombok. Gili Air, Gili Menu and Gili Trawangan. The most favorite Gili is Trawangan. You can use wood boat from Bangsal dock. But I warn you, when you arrive in there just go straight to locket to buy the ticket. The ticket price is Rp. 10.000 / person. And don't even leave local porter to help you, lot of jerk porter in there. They want to Rp. 100.000,- from you just to bring your bag to the boat. But don't worry, you will feel like in paradise after arrive in Gili Trawangan.

Well, hope this short itinerary can help you to enjoy your holiday in Indonesia. Happy Traveling. Reply to this

I'd focus on Jakarta (only for a few days), Jogja & Surabaya. If you're going with kids, you don't want to overstretch yourself (travel times are huge in Java unless you're flying)

Java and Bali are great places to visit during holidays. I went there last year with my family. Here are my suggestions that you can include in your itinerary. Do take care of the safety measures when taking children to activities like hiking and snorkelling.

Start your journey with Jakarta and visit kota tua, jln jaksa, and other tourist spots, Jakarta is good to start. Next go for Yogyakarta, here start your sightseeing from Sultan Palace, wander through its bustling streets and tour the Batik painting shops then also, visit Borobudur and Prambanan temples. Then head to Mount Bromo, don't miss the sunrise at Mount Bromo, it is amazing. Make sure to wear warm clothes because it is mountain area. Then head to Kawah Ijen, it is incredible to hike in Kawah Ijen. See the blue flames before sunrise, it is exhausting, and slightly scary experience. After this tiring day, enjoy a relaxing day at gorgeous beachside spot Permuteran. You can start your day with a relaxing yoga class and then explore the local area at your own pace. Other than this, do visit the surrounding monkey-filled temples, also go swimming and snorkeling. Then head to Bali, do not miss visiting Ubud, Gili Island, Kuta, Amed, and Uluwatu in Bali.

Enjoy your trip 😊 Reply to this
