I'm male and 23 year old from Ireland and I want to go to India. Back in Feb I booked my flights to Austrlia. My original plan was to spend 6 days in Tokyo, however due to the awful events there I have changed my mind.

Reply to this FindMyCarrots (http://www.findmycarrots.com) lets you search for destination around a place and they do not up sell any package. They also give option to choose the hotels based on your criteria like "family friendly", "good food", "spacious bedrooms", "price range" etc., Since they provide the information based on the search, you will be able to find all the places and you can filter them based upon your interest. When we went to Ooty 3 months back, we found 2 interesting places Avalanche Lake and Emerald Dam from FindMyCarrots. Pretty interesting website it is!!!

Reply to this India is safe for travelling solo.
i had been there for about two weeks in 2012 and never felt any danger or discomfort.
just take care of your belongings there, there are many pick pockets and night wanderers at public transport Stations in metro cities.
People are friendly and helpful.
Reply to this Andrew is saying it correct. People are Friendly and Helpful but you have to take care of belongings on your own.
Also you may find some very unhygienic places which you should try to avoid visiting and even eating nearby them.
Reply to this That is Okay dude.
You should book your tickets to India without any hesitation.
Its a pretty tourist destination.
Reply to this Your itinerary looks good to me, just a change- Places like Agra and Jaipur are closer by Delhi and not from Mumbai.
Reply to this Going with a travel buddy is something else but i guess people who manage going solo there isn't anything wrong with that also because at the end it goes quite sensibly for them which i find reasonable at all the terms. Just stay focused on what you feel like seeing or visiting and that is all you need.
Reply to this Travelling alone is a great idea as Indians are very friendly and trustworthy too... You must be having a travel guide to guide you at various places... hope you have your best travel experience in India.
Reply to this I also was in India as a solo male traveller in october 2001 (one month after 9/11) and had no problems. The only thing I did not like was the poverty and dirt in many places but that had nothing to do with being alone.

Reply to this Dense tropical jungle, murky village-lined rivers teeming with traffic and with wildlife so abundant it becomes the norm, Kalimantan is a jungle-cloaked landmass that appeals to those looking to venture into undiscovered territory. Occupying the southern two-thirds of the island of Borneo, Kalimantan remains largely untouched by tourism. With few roads, the interior’s great rivers are its highways and a trip up one of them will give you a taste of traditional Dayak life and introduce you to lush areas of dense jungle. More intrepid explorers can spend weeks on end navigating their way through seldom-ventured parts, and a visit to one of the national parks could bring you face-to-face with wild orang-utans. The provincial capitals of Pontianak, Palangkaraya and Samarinda are sprawling, dusty
jasa seo towns which offer little aside from their services. However, once out of the crowded, populated areas Kalimantan’s character starts to unfold.
For the independent traveller, Kalimantan can be expensive and a bit of a mission; time, patience, knowledge of Bahasa and effort are certainly required. But if you’re looking for a true sense of Borneo
seo, then these obstacles are a small price to pay.
