Should I bother traveling to Sulawesi at the end of October-beginning of November?
Does anybody have any advice/experience on traveling to Sulawesi at the end of October-beginning of November? I'm trying to decide if I should bother or wait a year so I can visit earlier in the season.
Reply to this I am heading there in a few weeks. Obviously your a scuba diver which I am not but if it is just the place you are interested in than I can let you know after I get back.

Reply to this I ended up traveling to Manado and Bunaken, but am still very interested in the Togean Islands. I also received some helpful information from a local in terms of transportation if you would like it, I can message it to you. Otherwise, definitely let me know about your experience or link me to your blog afterward!
Have fun! ;]

Reply to this Ive dived Sulawesi in all seasons - you get wet under the sea and hot on the land all year round and sometimes hot and wet on land but its no big deal. Id rather be there in october than in the heat of march and april.
Reply to this Thanks for the response, Cindy. Ah~ I can't wait to go back and try out more diving.
Reply to this Michelle actually while im thinking about it (just checked passport was there in october!) you should really add Bangka island on...before the chinese mine kicks off.

In response to: Msg #170164 Thanks for the recommendation Cindy! I ended up taking a complete detour from what I first imagined when I asked this question in 2010.
It's still on my top 5 places to visit list, but because I am currently unable to dive or travel long distances -- I'll blog about
why soon -- I'll just have to add your wonderful suggestions to my wishlist in the meantime. That, and live vicariously through your travels, hehe. 😊
