Costa Rica to Bolivia, Santa Cruz without flying. As low cost and as much reasonably safe adventure as possible!!
Hi can anyone give me the heads up on doing this without flying or even some short low cost flights? How safe and all that sort of thing? Cheers!!

You can take local buses all the way, the only difficult part is getting from panama to colombia. this can be done overland and several bloggers have written about this on here, we did it by boat via the san blas islands, or you can fly.
Our and many other blogs describe the sailing part and the side trip to the san blas made it worth the sea sickness.
